About Bewley's Hotels
Bewley's Hotels forms part of the combined Moran & Bewley’s Hotel Group; an Irish family owned and operated group that consists of ten hotels and two public houses spread across Ireland and The United Kingdom.
There are two hotel brands under the Moran Hotel Group of which Tom Moran is the owner and Group Managing Director; Moran Hotels and Bewley's Hotels. Tom’s story has been well documented through media since he first made the headlines in 1988 by purchasing the landmark ‘The Red Cow Inn’ in Dublin for just over £1m making it the first pub in Ireland to break the million pound barrier.
In 1996, Tom opened The Red Cow Moran Hotel adjacent to the Red Cow Inn. The two properties combined have become known as The Red Cow Complex. After 1996 Tom went on expand his portfolio of hotels across London and Cork and by 2006 Moran Hotels consisted of four four star luxury hotels.
In March 2008 Tom made the significant purchase of the Bewleys Hotel group; which consists of six hotels; 4 of which are in Dublin, 1 in Leeds and another at Manchester Airport.
The two hotel groups both have different styles and attributes.
