What a busy few weeks!

Hi Everyone,

It's been a very busy few weeks here with Bewley's Hotels. We've just announced the launch of the mobile version of our site meaning we are even more accessible on-the-go. Our blog goes in to detail about how it works, it is very simple. When you browse www.bewleyshotels.com on your Iphone or other mobile device it will automatically default to our mobile version. When you get there you have the option of bookmarking us or add to your screen. The Bewley's Hotels icon will be on your screen and next time you log in all you have to do is click the icon! Easy Peasy!

Christmas has been finalized in all of our hotels that host Christmas events. Dublin Airport will be playing host to the wonderful Dylan Cassidy who boasts one of the best Rod Stewart Tribute Show on earth! Newlands Cross have party packages which include Elvis, Rod Stewart & Neil Diamond Tribute Acts. Ballsbridge will be serving their annual traditional Christmas lunch and will also have a New Years Eve celebration. Leeds will have christmas party dinner along with many events over Christmas Day and New Years.

If you were following our blog and facebook you would have noticed that our Bewley's Hotels Team took to the road and visited many cities and villages in Ireland to say hello! The 2 days of 'Bewley's Hotels On Tour' went very well loads of freebie's were given out! View pictures of the event.

Our Kitchen event took place on the 9th of September. This event was hosted to launch our new menu offerings which are 'Kitchen' approved. At the start of September Bewley's Hotels also attended the popular Wedding & Honeymoon Show. The stand was well received and brides and grooms to be were given a chance to get their picture taken in the wedding themed photobooth! Stay tuned for those pictures!

We were finalists in the Gold Medal, Hotel & Catering Awards for Best Hotel Group, we now have shiny new plaque in our lobby! Manchester Airport won a Silver Award at the Holiday Extras customer awards event too. Pat on the back to all our of staff who helped us achieve such great recognition!

Summer Time & The Living Is Easy

We have arrived at July with a bang. On the 1st of July we launched our highly anticipated Facebook competition. Through the last days of June we asked our fans on facebook to tell us what competition they would like to take part in and they told us that they wanted an online treasure hunt.

From the 1st of June we rolled this competition out and it's not too late to take part. Log on to our blog and you will see how you can enter. The prize is fantastic and well worth the challenge.

The lucky winner will get 2 tickets to see Cirque du Soleil in the 02 Arena Dublin along with transport to and from the 02 Dublin. If that wasn't enough the winner will get an overnight stay with breakfast in Bewley's Hotel Leopardstown on the 15th of July. The competition ends on the 9th of July and winners will be announced on the 12th of July. 

We have also launched Twitter Tuesdays which lets our followers know about any last minute specials.

Cirque du Soleil is just one of many great events in Dublin this summer. We have launched event pages for the 02 Dublin, RDS Arena, Aviva Stadium, Croke Park, Convention Centre Dublin, and Grand Canal Theatre. On these pages you can access up to date information on upcoming events in these event venues. Next month we will have up to date information for Old Trafford and MEN Arena in Manchester. We are working in Leeds United Elland Road pages for those going to a match in Leeds.

Over the last few weeks Leopardstown Race Course have been hosting 'Bulmers Race Nights'. These race nights include races in the evening followed by live music from bands such as Fun Lovin Criminals and Duke Special. If seeing live music is your favourite pass time then you cannot miss Oxegen 2010 in Punchestown from the 8th to the 11th of July. Bewley's Hotel Newlands Cross is a short distance from Punchestown Race Course and have a fantastic package on offer for concert goers. July is extremely busy for Bewley's Hotel Manchester Airport & Bewley's Hotel Dublin Airport. Jump for Joy it’s June!

We've reached the half way mark of 2010 and what a year it has been so far! After the freezing cold start to the year the sun has finally come out and hopefully it's here to stay for the summer. Like the half way point of a marathon or the Womens Flora Mini Marathon,  refreshments and breaks are needed after some intensive work. The month of June is similar to this half way break as we see colleges and secondary schools finishing up for their summer break with primary schools to follow suit. Even though the rest of us won't get such a long break, we have a bank holiday weekend to look forward to which no doubt will help re charge the batteries.
